Creating Capable Communities with Family Life

Children and families can face significant challenges to their health and safety if their environment is unsafe.

To combat this, Family Life works closely with families, neighbourhoods and broader communities to improve safety and wellbeing. We do this through our program, Creating Capable Communities.

Below is a list of services offered through this initiative.

Supported Playgroups

If you can’t access traditional community support groups, we offer positive learning environments for the whole family. While you and your child take part in early learning activities, we can also provide you with parenting information.

Creating Capable Leaders

Creating Capable Leaders engages individuals to come together in an eight week skill building program culminating in a collaborative effort to achieve a solution to a local problem. Read more here

Young Leaders for Change

Using digital technology, we empower young people to explore issues and work through problems that affect their communities. This program encourages younger generations to be future leaders. Read more here
