Family Life invites you and your children to come along to the Parent-Child Mother Goose Program®.

Parent-Child Mother Goose® is an evidence based program that strengthens attachment and interaction between caregivers and their children through the pleasure and power of using rhymes, songs and oral stories.

Parent Child Mother Goose will help you:

  • Enjoy learning rhymes, songs and oral stories together
  • Strengthen your bond
  • Improve your child’s language, preliteracy, and literacy skills
  • Have some fun with your child

Who is this program for?

Parents and caregivers and their children aged 0-5 years old.

Families residing within the Bayside Peninsula region.

How can we support you?

Together, parents and children in the program:

  • Experience the spark of delight and magic that comes from enjoying a favourite song or rhyme
  • Learn and retain a repertoire or rhymes, songs and stories
  • Enjoy strengthened bonding.

What can I expect?

Each session is an hour long, typically run in the Bayside City Council area for 6-8 weeks.

Each session you’ll learn fun, easy-to-follow songs and rhymes along with ideas for incorporating gentle touch, movement and cuddles into your relationship. There’s no pressure to perform, just an opportunity to connect, play and enjoy being together.

Enrolment Process

We are now accepting referrals for Term 4. The sessions will be held:
  • At Westall Community Hub
  • From October 12- November 30, 2026
  • Mondays 10-11am

FAQs

Am I expected to attend all sessions? What if an emergency situation comes up?

To get the most out of your program, we recommend attending all sessions, however we understand this is not always possible. If you cannot attend a session, please let your group facilitator know as soon as possible.

The families and communities groupwork programs at Family Life are free programs for those living in the Bayside Peninsula region.

We offer this program in person at a variety of locations in the Bayside Peninsula area.

This program takes place over six to eight one-hour sessions which are generally held at the same time each week.

This program is a good fit for parents and caregivers and their children aged 0-5 years who want to cuddle, communicate and connect in a fun and supportive group environment.

There are a number of factors we consider when deciding upon group size and this will vary across our programs. While these numbers may vary for different groups, there won’t be more than 15 adult participants in any of our groups.

You now need to complete the registration form, which will be emailed to you, and read through the Client Information page. Your place in the group cannot be confirmed until the form is completed, and you have had a confirmation call with a Family Life staff member.
