Baby Music Classes

Baby Music is a fun, 1 hour class for parents, caregivers and their babies. We provide a relaxed and fun environment for you and baby to sing along,
play instruments and be led in musical play.

It is a wonderful opportunity for:

  • Your baby to build fine and gross motor skills, improve social development and sensory and language skills
  • You to connect with your baby in a fun environment
  • You to connect with other local residents and their families
  • You are also invited to stay for a social morning tea provided by Family Life.

Who is this program for?

Parents and caregivers and their children aged 0-3 years old.

Families residing within the Bayside Peninsula region.

How can we support you?

How we can support you In a relaxed and safe environment you’ll explore:

  • Watching, waiting and wondering while your child learns
  • Sharing moments of celebration with your child
  • Supporting your child to find their intrinsic interest in music
  • How to welcome children back to the activity when they are ready to engage

What can I expect?

Each session is one hour, starting with welcome activities followed by a range of songs before winding down. Afterwards we invite you to a social morning tea provided by Family Life.
 
Classes run for 6-8 weeks during school term at Family Life’s Keith Street Community House: 12 Keith Street, Hampton East. Please note, there is a limited number of on-site car parks and free parking along Keith Street.

FAQs

Am I expected to attend all sessions? What if an emergency situation comes up?

To get the most out of your program, we recommend attending all sessions, however we understand this is not always possible. If you cannot attend a session, please let your group facilitator know as soon as possible.

The families and communities groupwork programs at Family Life are free programs for those living in the Bayside Peninsula region.

We offer this program in person at a variety of locations in the Bayside Peninsula area.

This program takes place over six to eight one-hour sessions which are generally held at the same time each week. 

This program is a good fit for parents and caregivers and their children aged 0-3 years who want to connect through music in a creative group setting. 

There are a number of factors we consider when deciding upon group size and this will vary across our programs. While these numbers may vary for different groups, there won’t be more than 15 adult participants in any of our groups.
