In May 2020 Family Life announced an exciting new partnership with Lowe Design & Build. The well respected local business had offered to support the work that Family Life does through the development of a beautiful property in Green Parade Sandringham.
Of course a lot has happened since then. Throw in a global pandemic and unprecedented disruption to every element of our lives and inevitable impacts on building and the property market and you wouldn’t be on your own to think that the project was jeopardised. However, despite this upheaval we have seen unwavering commitment from Lowe to continue with the partnership, complete the build and pledge a $100,000 commitment to Family Life.
“It has been a colossal effort to stay true to the initial commitment of our partnership through some tough and dark days within the pandemic,” Family Life CEO, Allison Wainwright, said. “We are so appreciative of the level of commitment from Lowe Design & Build and our ongoing partnership.”
“With more than 30 years association with the Lowe family, starting with Liz Lowe’s involvement volunteering in our Op Shops and Brian Lowe serving on our Board, it is wonderful to carve out a new story with Matt Lowe and Lowe Design & Build to see us continue this important partnership.”
Lowe Design & Build shared the journey of the townhouse development with their staff and contractors, many of whom contributed trades and money to the completion of the project and the overall pledge.
“$100,000 is a significant donation for Family Life and the funds will be used to offer further support to vulnerable children and families in our community.”
“We are so grateful to Matt and the Lowe family, the team and contractors of Lowe Design & Build for this generous contribution,” Allison said.
