Family Life offers its condolences and mourns the loss of beloved Patron, Dr Roger Riordan AM, who passed away on Thursday 2 January 2019, aged 85.

Dr Riordan had been a supporter of Family Life for over 15 years and Patron of Family Life since 2012.

Family Life CEO, Jo Cavanagh OAM, said, “Family Life is greatly saddened by the passing of our Patron and dear friend. Our strong association with Roger over the past 15 years has left a legacy that will continue to influence the most vulnerable members of our community.”

“His extraordinary support of our Community Bubs program and Community Houses has changed the lives of many and given support and hope to those who needed it most.”

Community Bubs helps vulnerable parents build strong attachments with their infants, equipping them with the skills needed to ensure their babies thrive and develop in a safe and supportive home environment.

“Without contributions from Roger, and other community members like him, Family Life would not be able to meet the needs of those who so greatly need it,” Ms Cavanagh said. “We offer our sincere and deepest condolences to Roger’s family. His contribution will not be forgotten.”
