What is Financial Counselling?
Financial counselling is a free, independent and confidential service provided to people experiencing financial difficulty, with the aim of improving their financial situation. Financial Counsellors provide information and options to assist with your financial difficulties and provide knowledge and skills to help you build capacity for the future.
How can a Financial Counsellor help?
Issues Financial Counsellors can assist with:
- Budgeting issues (can’t pay bills on time)
- Debt issues
- Credit issues
- Gas, electricity or phone disconnection
- Mortgage/loan issues
- Bankruptcy applications
- Emergency access of superannuation
Am I eligible for Financial Counselling?
This program is available to family members affected by separation or divorce experiencing financial hardship living or working within the Frankston/ Mornington Peninsula region of Melbourne.
