About This Program
Brave Voices is a supportive space for women impacted by family violence to experience connection, share your story, and embrace healing. Together, we’ll explore healing, rediscovery, and connection.
What to Expect
- Understanding the nature of family violence, including its various forms and the cycle it often follows.
- Exploring the emotional and developmental impacts of family violence on individuals and children.
- Building tools to manage trauma and triggers, supporting emotional regulation and safety.
- Rediscovering identity and personal strengths, fostering a renewed sense of self.
- Encouraging wellbeing and self-care, with a focus on nurturing internal safety and resilience.
- Developing effective communication strategies, to support healthy expression and boundary-setting.
- Creating opportunities for community connection, reducing isolation and building supportive networks.
- Exploring trust and future relationships, with an emphasis on safety, respect, and emotional readiness
This is achieved by:
Psychoeducation delivered in a welcoming and supportive group environment, offering a personalised opportunity for participants to reflect on and make sense of their experiences in a way that feels respectful and empowering.
Facilitators:
Group facilitators are highly experienced practitioners with expertise in family safety and wellbeing. They bring a trauma-informed approach to every session, ensuring care, understanding, and professionalism throughout the program.

For women living in the Bayside Peninsula area (Bayside, Frankston, Glen Eira, Kingston, Mornington Peninsula, Port Phillip and Stonnington)
When: Brave Voices groups run weekly, each school term. Locations to be advised.
