In Memory of ‘Uncle Frank’

Family Life recently received a generous donation made in memory of a much-loved family member and local community member, Frank Alexander. Known for his kindness, generosity, and modesty, ‘Uncle Frank’s’ legacy will now continue through the support for local children and families.

Frank, who faced significant challenges in his own childhood due to polio and disability, was admired by his family for his resilience and generosity. Though he was unable to have a family of his own, Frank became a successful builder and developer, taking pride in helping other young people achieve their goals.

In his memory, his family chose to direct a portion of his estate to support Family Life’s counselling services. The donation will provide children with access to trauma-informed, child-focused counselling sessions, at no cost to their families. The support will also include pathways for whole-of-family assistance, connecting parents and carers with tailored programs and community-based services.

This contribution will make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people who need support to navigate complex challenges. We are deeply grateful to Frank’s family for choosing to honour his legacy in a way that empowers others and builds stronger families.
