Heartlinks Expands Access to Psychological Services Thanks to Kingston City Council Grant

Family Life is proud to acknowledge the generous support of Kingston City Council through the Specialist Community & Welfare Services Grant 2024–2027, which has enabled expansion of our psychological services within the Heartlinks program within the first year of a three year funding allocation.

This vital funding has allowed us to provide accessible, high-quality psychological support to children and vulnerable adults residing in the City of Kingston, many of whom would otherwise be unable to afford such care. While other free services exist, they often come with long waiting times or restrictive eligibility criteria, creating barriers for those most in need.

Thanks to Kingston City Council’s commitment to community wellbeing, Heartlinks has been able to increase the availability of appointments, now offering sessions Monday through Friday, up from just three days a week. This expansion means more individuals can receive timely support from qualified clinicians, helping to address mental health challenges before they escalate.

We are deeply grateful for Kingston City Council’s investment in the mental health of our community.
