Celebrating Our Volunteers on International Volunteer Day

Today, on International Volunteer Day, we proudly celebrate the incredible contributions of our Family Life volunteers. This year’s theme, “Every Contribution Matters”, perfectly reflects the dedication and care shown by our volunteer community.

In the last financial year, 476 individuals generously shared their time and talents with Family Life, contributing an astounding 48,874 hours of service. Much of this effort was devoted to our 12 op shops, creating warm, safe, and welcoming spaces where community members can connect and feel supported.

Volunteers are at the heart of our vision. As outlined in our new Strategic Plan, we aim to “foster a meaningful volunteer community, enabling people to share their time, wisdom, and care with others, strengthening community connection and wellbeing.” Every hour given strengthens the fabric of our community and helps us deliver vital support to those who need them most.
