The Opportunity

Working within the Marketing & Communications Team and embedded in a cross-functional project team, you will develop and deliver communication strategies, engagement plans, and community-facing initiatives for a collaborative impact project. You’ll work closely with the local project team, community members, and partner organisations to increase awareness, build strong relationships, and ensure community perspectives guide our work. 

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Develop and implement communication and stakeholder engagement plans 
  • Work with Marketing and Design to create inclusive, accessible content across digital and print channels 
  • Support and deliver community events, workshops and consultations 
  • Build strong relationships with community members and partners 
  • Champion project branding and coordinate development of promotional materials 
  • Track and report on engagement outcomes and KPIs 
  • Ensure all engagement practices are culturally safe, trauma-informed and inclusive 

About you

You will bring: 

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in communications, community engagement or marketing 
  • Strong writing, content creation and campaign development skills 
  • Experience planning and delivering community engagement activities 
  • Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills 
  • Strong project management and organisational capability 
  • Understanding of issues affecting vulnerable communities 
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and stakeholders 
  • A valid Victorian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
