Make a real difference locally while supporting a vibrant, high-volume clearance store with purpose and heart.

The Opportunity

In the Clearance Community Store, you’ll support a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment where strong stock flow, practical merchandising and efficient daily operations help create affordable shopping options and meaningful community impact.

As an Assistant Store Manager, you’ll support the Store Manager with the day-to-day running of the Clearance Community Store. This includes assisting with volunteer guidance, customer service, stock movement, store presentation, donation processing and maintaining a safe, welcoming and organised retail space. You’ll bring energy, initiative and a practical approach to helping the store run smoothly, while learning and contributing to the commercial and community outcomes of the store.

Working closely with the Store Manager and wider retail team, you’ll help maintain strong standards across stock rotation, pricing, visual merchandising and volunteer support. This role suits someone who is ready to step into more responsibility, enjoys hands-on retail work and is motivated by the opportunity to contribute to a purpose-led clearance store environment.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Retail experience, ideally in fashion, homewares, pre-loved goods, clearance or high-volume retail
  • Confidence supporting store operations, including cash handling, opening/closing tasks, stock movement and maintaining shop-floor standards
  • A practical, creative eye for merchandising, pricing and presenting donated goods in a way that supports sales and sustainability
  • Strong people skills, with the ability to support, encourage and work alongside volunteers and team members
  • A hands-on, organised approach and willingness to assist with donation processing, stock rotation, lifting and keeping the store safe and tidy
  • Ability to follow direction, use initiative and support the Store Manager to deliver positive commercial and community outcomes
  • Must have flexibility to work weekends, public and school holidays
