Community of Practice – Leading Community Change

By Zoe Hopper March 16, 2020

On Tuesday 25 February Family Life held its third Community of Practice event in Frankston.

Working with like minded organisations and individuals the Impact & Strategy team addressed the topic ‘Leading Community Change – What / Why / How and Who?’

As part of the ongoing series of Collective Impact discussions, this event explored Collaborative Leadership.

Collaborative Leadership is one of the five pillars of Community Change and involves mobilising and activating community solutions that address social issues for and with vulnerable communities. The session explored the skills, attributes and roles required to influence and drive positive change in our community.

Speakers included Laura Thompson, Managing Director, Spark Health; Mayor, Cr. Sam Hearn, Mornington Peninsula Shire and our very own Allison Wainwright.

It was a terrific day of discussion and networking. We look forward to our next event to be held 26th May, 2020.
