We are looking for a skilled, passionate individual who embodies the Family Life Way principles to deliver trauma informed support to our clients and achieve positive outcomes for communities.

The Family Practitioner is a full-time/permanent role based at Sandringham and provides a client-centred, trauma informed service designed to provide counselling and support to families experiencing relationship difficulties. The role also provides specialist family violence services to men, women and children through individual and group work, including men’s behaviour change programs.
You will possess a Bachelor qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Family Therapy or related field and will provide counselling and group work with an emphasis on working with men, women, couples and children who have experienced family violence.
You will conduct risk and needs assessments, develop goals and interventions with clients to a professional standard and possess a strong understanding and practical experience of the short and long term impacts of family violence.
You will be required to work one evening shift per week to facilitate a range of FSRS services including Men’s Behavioural Change Programs, Counselling Sessions and a range of other group sessions.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Family Practitioner who possess demonstrated skills and experience in the delivery of Family Counselling and Family Violence services to join the Family Life family.
