  • $82,774.64 – $86,529.04 per annum pro rata (negotiable depending on skills and experience) plus superannuation
  • Frankston & Sandringham, with some travel to other sites

The position

The Family Violence Practitioner is a part time 6-month fixed term contract role based across our Frankston and Sandringham sites, providing intensive, innovative and holistic interventions to men, women and children who have perpetrated or experienced family violence.

A day in the life of this position includes:

  • Conducting professional intake and assessment for men and women who have used or experienced family violence;
  • Co-facilitating Men’s Behaviour Change groups;
  • Providing individual support and case coordination to men and their partners;
  • Facilitating ‘warm’ handovers following closure of the case management episode;
  • Conducting risk assessments and developing safety plans to mitigate risk and ensure safety;
  • Contacting Affected Family Members;
  • Completing case noting; and
  • Attending reflective practice groups.
