Family Life run a variety of support groups and programs for the community.

Sewing Group - held Wednesday's in 2010 (held at Edithvale Community House)

A sewing group for those wanting to learn and try out sewing.

A group for those living in the City of Kingston who are interested in working on a project that will benefit your community and teach you new skills.

Parenting After Bushfire - starts 30 July 2010

This is a six session practical parenting program to help those with children and teenagers affected by bushfire. It aims to help you manage stress and anxiety, gain skills and confidence to help your children and support your family's recovery.


 

Sandringham


MATES - starts 29 July 2010

Family Life’s MATES Program is a group for men who have been abusive, violent and controlling towards the people in their life. Participants talk, share information, and challenge and support each other to be better men, partners, and fathers.

B.E.A.D.S Connecting Women - starts 9 September 2010 (held at Castlefield Community Centre)

Bayside Emotional and Depression Support group is for women who have experienced or who are experiencing Post Natal Depression. It will provide an opportunity for women to join together in a relaxed, friendly and supportive environment.

An eight week group for women wanting to deal with issues around anger.

Making Choices - started 5 May 2010 (new group starting soon - date TBA)

Making Choices is a group for women who are living in, or have lived in an abusive relationship. Women are helped to learn new behaviours which will assist them to
recognise healthy and unhealthy relationship patterns.

REFRESH Return to work and study - starts Friday 23 July 2010

A group for people returning to work or study, or wanting to try something different. The program will teach you goal setting, study advice, interview skills, career counselling and more.
