YouthWorx is a fun place where you can learn new skills and meet new people, all in a friendly and caring, upmarket Opportunity Shop
The YouthWorx program takes place in a social enterprise offering young people, structured workplace training and work experience. Established in early 2003, the enterprise is a fabulous opportunity shop providing young people with the chance to gain:
Structured and supervised work place training. - Free training in three modules of Certificate II in Retail Operations.
- Connections to employment opportunities and assistance with job search.
- Personal coaching and professional mentoring.
- Assistance with preparing a professional standard resume.
- A work reference.
- Information about community support and training, education and employment resources to assist with developing personal, life and career pathways.
- Experience in teamwork.
- Experience in managing an employee/employer relationship.
- An understanding of employee responsibilities and entitlements.
